Refund policy
Nostalgia Nook is an online store offering second-hand (pre-owned) books, DVDs, and CDs to customers across South Africa.
All items are individually photographed and described as accurately as possible. As these are pre-owned items, normal signs of wear may be present. Customers are encouraged to review product images and descriptions carefully before purchasing.
Returns
We accept returns for both defective and non-defective products in accordance with our policy and the Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
Return Eligibility
- Defective, damaged, or incorrect items: Eligible for return, replacement, or refund.
- Misdescribed items: Eligible for return if the item does not match the listing.
- Non-defective items: Returns are accepted provided the item is returned in its original condition.
Product Condition
Items sold may be classified as new or slightly used. For pre-owned items, reasonable wear such as minor marks, inscriptions, or age-related imperfections is not considered a defect.

Return Method
Returns are handled via courier (by mail).
Return Costs
- A free return label is included in your package for eligible returns.
- No restocking fees are charged.
Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges. Approved returns will be refunded, and a new order can be placed if required.
Refund Processing
Once the returned item has been received and inspected, refunds will be processed within 3 business days.
Consumer Rights
This policy is subject to the Consumer Protection Act (CPA). Nothing in this policy limits your rights under applicable South African law.
